In Him

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 16:11

In your presence, in your flow, in your depths, my heart cries out.  Who is the Lord but our God.  Though the nations are in turmoil, and though the peoples do not see, you alone are God, and you reign forever in the heavens.

But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

Psalm 92:8

Satisfied

The people ate and were satisfied.

Mark 8:8

It takes something to be satisfied in this life.  Paul wrote that he had learned the secret of being content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:12).  He knew how to be content.

The crowds followed Jesus in droves.  After He fed them with the miracle of the loaves, He stopped them and tried to redirect their thinking.  They followed Him more because their physical bodies were satisfied than they were by the spiritual  (John 6:26).

You Will Find

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Matthew 7:7

This is part of the good news Jesus came to bring.  If we ask for it, He will bring it.  If we look for it, we will find it.  If we keep knocking at the door, eventually, it will open for us.  This is Kingdom 101 quite often, and, whether it is accepted as such or dismissed from there, it can often get little investigation later.  However, as with many of Jesus’ sayings, they apply to multiple levels.

Jesus ministered on the Earth in the power of the Spirit.  The gifts were evident yet not on display.  The Spirit was present, and the gifts were promised, but the primary focus of the teaching was directed towards the Father’s will.

Lose Your Life

If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

Luke 14:26

The way of discipleship is the way to follow the cross.  The requirement of discipleship is to never look back.

Jesus said that the Kingdom was like a precious pearl, that, when found, a man sold all he had and bought it.  There is something about finding something that is worth it.  If you can see it, if you can recognize what you see, and correctly appraise it, it is not a hard choice to lose everything else to obtain the best. But Seek Ye First

But seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33

There are many things we see in church today.

We have programs.  We have buildings.  We have ministries.  We have ministers.  But seek first the Kingdom.

James 3:16 says that where there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there is confusion and every evil thing.  Competition between brothers rises, looking to a particular gifting or position in order to get attention abound.  Attempts to fill unmet needs in the soul by some level of attainment in the spirit are present in our ministers.
