Shall Not Fail Nor Be Discouraged

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

Isaiah 42:1-4

Jesus said His yoke was easy, and His burden was light. The essence and key to correct ministry is found in these words.  As long as our ministry is heaven and our labor hard to our souls, we are doing more than we ought, or doing it wrong.  While there is grace and mercy to learn, we must learn, and find that place of ministering by His Spirit alone, not out our selves or our own strength, but by Him alone. If God clothes the flowers of the field so well, and we still worry, are we not of little faith (Matthew 6:30)?

Consider these two principles.  We are Most Happy when we run out of strength, and, We are Most Happy when we are persecuted for righteousness sake.  The reason for this happiness, in both instances, is because ours is the Kingdom!

Wisdom

God shares His secrets with His friends.  Psalm 25:14.

What if God didn’t want to share certain things with some people?  Would that make Him mean, just because He withheld certain details about His Kingdom?

The Sweetest Thing

Oh, how I love His Word.  His mouth is sweetness itself.  There is nothing finer, nothing more pleasant, nothing more desirable, than His mouth.  Taste and see that He is good.

If ever there was a question about God’s greatness, it is settled in this.  You may talk about love, but He is it.  You may talk about justice, but He is it.  You may talk about joy, but He is the only source.  You may talk about peace, but He is its prince.  You may talk about patience, but who is more than He?  You may talk about kindness, but show me another father willing to send all his prophets, and then, at the last, His son.  You may talk about anything that it is to be human, and, you may see someone demonstrate some portion of it, or you may see idealized someone who is famed for it, but Jesus is it all.
