Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Matthew 11:11

He prophesied of Jesus’ coming, saying,

Truly, I give baptism with water to those of you whose hearts are changed; but he who comes after me is greater than I, whose shoes I am not good enough to take up: he will give you baptism with the Holy Spirit and with fire:

John 3:11

Of the natural order of men, those born only of water, John was the greatest.  Of His testimony of Jesus, John commented this.

He must become greater; I must become less.

John 3:30

Jesus came and said He had a greater ministry than that of John, and He demonstrated that greater gift.

But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

John 5:36

Even the legendary Solomon could not compare to who Jesus was, and is, and always will be.

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Luke 11:31

He taught men how to be the greatest.  He did not stop them from being great, but merely told them how, and it was not as men might expect, but as God’s true and perfect heart is.

But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Matthew 23:11

Jesus came, and spoke His truth.  He said.

 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:13

And, as He lived, so He died, with the greatest love of all, dying for the all of mankind.

He left this Earth, and was a seed the sprouted and brought forth a harvest.  Being raised back up again, His instructions were to continue on as He was in this Earth.  He told them before His death and resurrection,

 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 14:12

He spoke of His Father, the Father of all, the creator of the universe, and the source of all life, authority, power, and dominion.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

John 10:29

And through the sacrifice of Jesus the righteous, the Father released the precious Holy Spirit, and through Him, gifts unto Christ’s body, the church.

I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

1 Corinthians 14:5

And, today, we overcome by His Spirit, God himself, Christ Jesus the Eternal, and the living one, the only true God.  By Him, we overcome all darkness, all foes, all weariness, all wickedness, all oppression, and all evil.  We overcome this world, and are no longer a part of it, for greater is He that is in us, than He that is in the world!

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
