A Shout of Victory

May 3rd, 2012

 Shout joyfully to God, all the earth;
Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works!  Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You.

Psalm 66:1-3 NASB

A shout of victory for the Lord our God.  The raising of the voice, the shattering of strongholds.

For, out of the mouth of infants, He has ordained strength, He has perfected praise.  For out of the mouths of babes and sucklings, out of those who could not lift up their own voice, He has shattered the stronghold of the enemies that were very great.

His name is glorious, it is wonderful.  There is none in Heaven or Earth to compare.  When we see Him, we are all undone in His presence.  Even the enemy must submit, must at least act obedient in the presence of your mighty power.

All must come into your rule and glory, Oh, Lord, for you rule over all.  Your name and your power are great in the Heavens and upon the Earth.

Let your great works be known, Oh mighty God.  Let your glory overshine and overshadow us, that we might be forever changed.

For all we seek is to know you again.  All we desire is to seek your face, Oh God of Jacob.

Bless our God, O peoples, And sound His praise abroad,
Who keeps us in life and does not allow our feet to slip.
For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined.
You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins.
You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.
I shall come into Your house with burnt offerings; I shall pay You my vows,
Which my lips uttered And my mouth spoke when I was in distress.

Psalm 66:8-14

All men are in need of a savior.  Everyone needs a strong tower.  For, even in the sea, lie creatures beyond human strength, who if we wrestle with, we will not so quickly boast.  But, your name rules forever.

Your light shines forth, when all else fades, Lord, and you keep my feet from stumbling.

He is a God that saves, and gives heed to the cry of His afflicted.

But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer Nor His lovingkindness from me.

Psalm 66:19-20
