In The Flow

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

Ephesians 3:16-17, portion

There’s something about the flow of the Spirit, the intimacy of His love.  Lost in the embrace Beyond words, raptured in the embrace of His flood.

Christ on the inside, revolutionizing my soul.  Christ on the outside, making me whole.

Christ has become the life-giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45).  He is that presence within us, giving us life.  He is that never ebbing flow of strength, making us able to overcome.  He is that ever sweet touch and voice within, leading us onward.

When I move my body in worship, He flows through me.  When I lift my voice to sing, it is Him that rides upon my breath.  When I look with my eyes, it is His gaze that looks at the World.

Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

John 14:22-23

For, it is in His Spirit that He makes Himself manifest to us, and it is in His Spirit that He and His Father make their home within our vessel.

Where is the pride and the conditions of men?  They are gone from this place, where the Spirit is.

There is neither position, nor rank, nor head besides Christ.  But, as we look upon Him, and speak His Word, we know Him, who has known us.

This man within.  This inner work.  Who can describe?

And, this Spirit is the establishment of Grace within us.  It is the owning of the precious, most blessed thing of all, God Himself.

And, as He flows, we know.  We see.  We believe.  As His presence overcomes us, and fills us, intoxicating us on His beauty, there is no equal, no compare.

Beyond time, Beyond words, beyond all of this universe, He is the one, the only one.  Better than life itself, for He is One.

In that flow, in that depth, in that sweet pressure of His union, He makes Himself known to us.  He in the Father, the Father in Him, and us in them both.  To the outside, we speak to them and tell them of their need for the New Birth, of the outward finished works of Christ, but only because they could not possibly understand the greatness of what lies within.  While glimpses may be seen of His beauty, a flash of gold from the outside of the Tabernacle, and wafts of incense rising from above it, only to those who have been born again, who have seen and entered the Kingdom, know what it is like to be saturated in the aroma of heaven, in the radiance of His Glory.  We could try a thousand years to describe what that place is like, but failing, because we have no way to tell of the Spiritual, no way to teach God, and no way to convey Him, other than by Him Himself.

Lost in the flow of who He is, there is nothing else that matters.  He is the one, the only, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and besides Him there is no other.  He is the pure head of God, and with His cup, I am satisfied.
