In Him

April 17th, 2012

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 16:11

In your presence, in your flow, in your depths, my heart cries out.  Who is the Lord but our God.  Though the nations are in turmoil, and though the peoples do not see, you alone are God, and you reign forever in the heavens.

But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

Psalm 92:8

Your name is shelter.  Though you are my friend, and you are with me, you are exalted in the heavens.  Though you are close, and I know you, you are yet so much bigger than I am.

It is in your word, and in your name, that you are known.  It is by your Spirit that you are with me.

Open to me the paths of life, and restore correct sight to my eyes.  Let me see you rightly, and esteem you above all else.

For covetousness is born of inordinate desire, and all my fountains are in you.  Let not my eyes be drawn away, nor let me succomb to the will of my enemies, for many are they who desire to do me harm, and many are they who would see me worthless.

But, You, Oh, Lord, are on high forever.  You, Oh King, are above all others.  To you alone, my Father, do I submit my soul, and to your beautiful Son, the Lord Christ Jesus.

I wait for you. I long for you.  I seek, knock, and ask.

Though the world cannot see, your light has come, and shown me your ways.

Keep me, and let me walk in them ever more.  Give me an unfailing heart, to never look back, and never turn around.

In Jesus’ name.
