Crucified to Me

April 16th, 2012

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Galatians 6:14

The freedom from this life is the freedom from all of its desires, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.  Yet, this is not asceticism, or the simply turning away from the things of the world, as if to nothing, but it is turning to a greater thing, a thing of true worth, and a thing of lasting enjoyment.

Consider martial intimacy.  God created marriage and intimacy between a man and a woman.  Man and the devil have perverted it in every gross arrangement.  Yet, when we turn from the false, the evil, we are not removing physical intimacy completely, but replacing it with something that is so infinitely better, that is not worth comparing, real love, real union, and real partnership.  But, this is still merely the Earth.

Jesus is so much better on every level, that He is not on the same level.  He, the Eternal God and the creator of all of creation, was man, but lived of the Spirit.  He lived cut off from the Earth, and was untouched, because the enemy had nothing in Him.

When we are engrossed in Him, nothing catches our eye.  When we have nothing in us, we are fully possessed by Him, and respond only to His wishes.

And, the world, and the carnal church, would call this a hard load, and grievous to be borne, but to the person in the Spirit, enraptured in His bliss and His carriage, there is no greater thing, no more powerful place, and no more superlative place than to be, as John on the Isle of Patmos, in the Spirit.

When there is nothing of this, and all the arguments of hell fall short, because He is, then there is nothing else in all of heaven or in Earth that can stop you.  You will only perish if He lets you perish, and if you do, you do not taste death.  When there is nothing else within you, and the world and ALL of its trappings, for that is what they are, are dealt with, and all the pressures and witchcrafts of everyone around are dealt with, you are unstoppable in the Holy Ghost.

All of the world is condemned.  While the physical creation itself may be neutral to a degree, there is nothing but the Holy Ghost that brings life.

It is only by living by the Spirit that we please heaven, and it is those that lose everything else that are fruitful for the King.

When the presence of the Holy fascinates your soul more than a glass of coke, you can drink a coke in the anointing and not be distracted.  When the meals that you eat, you eat because they please the Father, and you derive all your satisfaction from having found the Heart of the Lord, instead of a full belly, you are free to follow the Lord into fasting or feasting.

The instructions for fasting are in the Gospel, but it is the singleness of vision that is the lamp of the body.  It is the undivided focus, the unyielding gaze, and the undistracted love that certifies and unstoppable message.  And, it will require fasting, but not nearly as much as it does an unmovable heart.

For, the fullness of the preaching of the cross of Christ, according to Paul, is this, that I was crucified to the world and the world to me.  No longer do I look at anything of this life, especially not church life, as supplying any need, any want, or any pleasure, but only that of the King.  When we delight ourselves in Him, He gives us the desires of our heart, even Heaven, and more of Him (Psalm 37:4).

The performance of man may accomplish some, but when we look at the results of the ages, and how only a few seem to have found the greater thing, the deeper level to which we are all attaining to, it can only be accredited to the lack of consecration to the right thing, to the anointing, to the Holy Spirit, to the Father, and to the Captain of our souls, Jesus Christ.

God is pleased with our sincere hearts, but I will not be one who sets out with anything other than a vision of the end, a goal to be at the top, to be the servant of all, and to be like a little child.  Humble, and yielded, and wholly given to my King.  And, though, still, I am only an unworthy servant, He calls me friend, he calls me son, He calls me His.

In Him do I serve, and in Him do I live.

Hunger will only ever get you half way.  It is only in the hatred where the world is cut off and we are made a prisoner of love.

Only, forever, do we cut off this world, and through the cross of the Eternal Lord Jesus Christ, through His Gospel, do we come alive forever.  And, to him who believes, nothing is impossible (Mark 9:23).
