Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory

April 4th, 2012

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1 Peter 1:8

Him who is unseen, yet known.  Him whom we love.

In Him we believe, in Him we trust, and delight with joy.

This in the domain of the Kingdom.  This is the realm of His world.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Romans 14:17

The joy is so great at times, I scarce know how it to contain.  It overwhelms me, as the angelic hosts arise, and I lift up my heart to worship.  The Spirit is so sweet.  He encourages me, and I feel the prompting to lift my arms, and the command to spin.

Sometimes, it is like a soft touch, sometimes a command, sometimes barely noticeable  but every step, and ever obedience frees me, and others as well.

Every time the anointing rises, the explosion inside is immense.  Joy takes me over, and I cannot help but exclaim how Good He Is!

My heart wants to worship, wants to dance, wants to jump and shout!  There is nothing like our God.  He is altogether good.

In His house, every melody and rhythm fills my soul, and makes me want to dance.  I feel Him closer and closer, so that nothing else can remain.

The wonder of His sanctuary, the beauty of His Presence, is all I need to see.  If I could just see Him a little higher, a little clearer, all things will be made alright.

His name drives out the doubt, the skepticism, and the heartache.  Those questions and fears I had all melt away with one refrain of His Name, His Holy, Righteous, and most beautiful name.

In that music, life is lifted up and restored.  Those things that had been trampled down get the fresh shining of His life poured out upon them, and they are revived.

All things make sense in His Presence, for in His light we see light.  Though our foot may have nearly slipped, it is in His House that we see right.

Oh, the joy that tears me from within.  I want to exclaim, but cannot find the fullness.  I want to express this life, but I find insufficient avenues to release Him.  I want to taste Him, devour Him, and hold Him and never let Him go.

Oh, the glory of His presence, the rapture of His delight.  One glimpse of His light, and the world stops forever.  One taste of that Eternal goodness, and the life we once lived is over.

Who can return to living among his cucumbers, when he has seen the treasure in the field?  Who can continue to be merely grape juice, after he has within him the little bit of yeast?

This life is over the moment we touch Him, and although we may not know it yet, He owns our very souls.

Yet, sweet is the surrender, and ever greater is the desire, for having given all we have away, He gives to us Himself.

Such sweet delight is all my desire, until I can consider nothing else.  Such happiness, in Eternal bliss, is mine at only a glimpse, and yet lasts an Eternity.  It is in His house that is my whole thought and consideration.

Let Him be magnified in our eyes, that we might behold, esteem, and honor Him aright.
