When all is stripped away, and nothing else remains, you can trust in His love.  His love remains, when everything else is shaken (Romans 8:37-39), and by it, we live without fear (1 John 4:18).

Into His love we commend ourselves each day.  Further into His glory, His goodness, His mercy.

All we need is His love.  Our only true possession in this life is this place of union.

The life of the flesh doesn’t matter in the end.  What matters is Eternity.  According to Isaiah 40, all of man’s pomp and pride fall away into the dust and ashes they came from, and all that remains is faith, hope, and love (1 Corinthians 13:13).

All that is needed is one thing, to be found faithful to the Shepherd.

The whole of the Kingdom works on one simple principle.  Look it, love it, live it.  See Jesus, Love Him and only Him, and Live from that place.  It is not a complicated formula, or a teaching set.  It is a person, plain and simple.  If you really love Jesus, you’ll be fine.

One thing is certain, in His book, to be found loving is worth much more than simply serving with a wrong mindset.

We can be sidetracked by many things.  Once the pressures of just making it through come off, do we have the courage and the temperance to look to Jesus and say, You’re the only one that brought me through, and you’re the only one I’ll live for.  It’s easy sometimes, to break through into a new plateau and think we’ve arrived.  But, as wisdom speaks, the greatest hindrance to the Kingdom is past success.

Jesus said that when our eyes were single, our whole body would be full of light.  He said that when we are fully lit, with no dark corners, that it was like the light of a lamp was shining on us.

Imagine that.  Glowing like a light bulb.  Shining like Moses on Mount Sinai, or Jesus shining with the radiance of His Father on the mount of transfiguration.  Only because we have refused to allow any part of our soul to stay out of the scrutinizing gaze of the Holy One.  I mean, come on, He can see it all anyway.  You might as well throw down the fig leaf and just let Him see it, confess you sin.  He is faithful and just to forgive you AND to cleanse you right there.

If we love it more than anything, and refuse to compromise, we will be promoted like Jesus was.  He grew in favor with both God and man.  He learned wisdom, to which the Jews credited His miraculous powers.

When our eye is single, we will have no other lovers.  When our eye is single, pure, undivided, un-split, unmovable, and unshakable, we will remain.

Jesus said that not everyone would enter the Kingdom, but only those that do the will of the Father (Matthew 7:21).  When we seek, we will find, even if what we are seeking is not God’s will.  We will, eventually, find it.  But, if we throw out every other thing, throw out our own desires, wants, and needs, seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), everything else we need will be added unto us.  We need not worry about.  Perhaps, we need not even pray laboriously over some of it, any more than to say, “Give us this day, our daily bread.”

There is something liberating and free about only having one focus.  You don’t have to worry about losing anything if you only have to count to one.  You don’t have to worry about getting priorities out of sorts when you only have one thing on your mind.  You don’t have to really care about anything, except pleasing that great Holy Ghost.

There is a light and easy yoke, and it isn’t according to the pattern of this world.  If we love our life in this world, we lose it; if we hate it in this life, we will keep it unto Eternal life (John 12:25).

This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our Faith.  If we were trying to do this by our flesh, as mere men, we would be the most miserable ascetics in the world.  To live the life of absolute depravity of the system of the world is akin to having the driest of dry bones with absolutely no flesh.  Yet, in the Spirit, it is the fatness, the sweetness, beyond the most “decadent” life because of who He is, although it comes with it’s persecutions.

There is no love like the Holy Ghost love.  There is no lover like the Holy Sweet Kiss.  There is no intimacy like Emmanuel.  “Possessed” is not actually a very good translation of the New Testament word for “demonized”.  In the Greek, it is one word, and means to be “under the influence of a demon”.  “Possessed” in the English always has the connotation of ownership, which is not implied in the Greek whatsoever.  The only place in the New Testament where “ownership” of a person by a spirit is referenced is in reference to us being possessed, or owned, by the Holy Spirit.  It is unfortunate that many modern translations use this most missleading word of “possessed”, but clearly, scripturally, and biblically, the only true use of the word “possessed” is of the Holy Spirit possessing a human.

Jesus said that when this happens, when the Holy Spirit brings forth the Kingdom of Heaven, He, the Spirit, must become our only possession.  If you want the flow of the Gospel in absolute maximum through your life, the only way it will happen AND LAST is if you fully surrender your entire soul to the greatest Master of all, Jesus Christ.  No holds, no sentimentality, no other lovers.  Matthew 13:44 says it best, It is like a man who found a treasure, and when He found it, hid it again, and for joy, went and sold all he had.  Yes, this is Jesus buying the world to get the church, but it is me, any time I find a piece of Him.  If it’s really Him, if you really knew what was good for you, you would sever limbs and remove eyeballs if it could help you get it.  There are no qualifications.  Either He is really God, either He is really that good, and love means love, and hate means hate, or we should quit this right now, and give up the race.  Better to count the cost now, than to build what you would not finish.  The only game to play is “All the way.”

And if you lose your life, you will find it.  This is the Way.  See Him.  Love Him.  Let that life flow.  This is true passion, and this is true love.
