The more I read and understand the Beatitudes, Matthew 5:3-12, the happier I get. Hugely Happy. Ultra Happy. Maximumly Happy. Macro happy even, which is what the word translated “blessed” actually means, if you look it up. It doesn’t mean “blessed”. That would be eulegio. This is Macagredso… horribly transliterated, but… macro + agredso… macro meaning big, agredso meaning… well… HAPPY!

Jesus had one for every occasion
Let’s take a look…

Happy are those who are SOMETHING because of SOMETHING ELSE.
Happy are the POOR IN SPIRIT because THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
Happy are THOSE WHO MOURN because THEY WILL BE COMFORTED.
Happy are THE MEEK because THEY WILL BE COMFORTED.
Happy are THOSE WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS because THEY WILL BE FILLED.
Happy are the PEACEMAKERS because THEY SHALL BE CALLED CHILDREN OF GOD.
Happy are the PURE IN HEART because THEY SHALL SEE GOD.
Happy are those PERSECUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE because THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
Happy are you when PEOPLE HATE YOU AND REVILE YOU AND SAY ALL MANNER OF EVIL AGAINST YOU because GREAT IS YOUR REWARD IN HEAVEN.

There are two ways to get the Kingdom right now..
Either be poor in Spirit or be persecuted for righteousness sake.
It would stand to reason that if we did both at the same time, we would receive the DOUBLE PORTION.

Everyone needs the Kingdom, but sometimes we’re in mourning.
We can be exuberantly happy because we know comfort is on the way.

How about a little bit of honor?
Be a peacemaker and you’ll get called God’s Child.
That makes me VERY happy.

You don’t have to push to get ahead.
You’ll be incredibly, maximumly happy if you’re meek,
because you’ll inherit the Earth!
YOU JUST WAIT!

Wanna be like the prophet in Isaiah 6?
Keep your heart pure!
You will see Him!
That makes me out of this world Happy!

Just can’t seem to get satisfied with the level of righteousness in the world?
Wow! I’m ecstatically blissed.
God will see to it that I’m gorged!

Really, if you take this dissatisfactory conditions, and realize God’s promise…
And stand by faith…
You can’t help but be happy.
The condition of the man in Faith is pure happiness.

The condition is God’s righteousness.
And it happens because you believe it!

It makes me happy!!!
